Announced in the sights of Brest, long in negotiations with the player, or even Olympique de Marseille, Martín Satriano (23 years old) has finally decided to join RC Lens as we recently revealed to you. In search of a striker to fill the gap between Elye Wahi and OM, the Artois club has, in fact, set its sights on the Uruguayan international striker from Inter Milan. Loaned for the last three seasons (two seasons at Brest and one season at Empoli), the Montevideo native has solid experience and will therefore come to strengthen the Lens attack.
“Hoist high, Satriano! Skillful in front of goal and generous in his efforts, Uruguayan centre-forward Martin Satriano (23 years old) is on loan to Racing with an option to buy. The player with 48 appearances in Ligue 1 McDonald’s arrives in Artois with his knowledge of the championship and his determination to fly the blood and gold colours high…”specifies the press release from the Sang et Or to make the news official. After passing his medical, Satriano has signed for one season. Note that this is a loan with an option to buy (not automatic) for €5 million. A nice move for the club coached by Will Still who will therefore have an additional option in attack. He will wear number 9.
