The first day of Calcio continued this Sunday. Earlier in the day, Antonio Conte’s Napoli fell violently in Verona (3-0), while Bologna had to settle for a draw against Udinese (1-1). The evening was nevertheless marked by the entry of the two Roman clubs into the dance. Indeed, Daniele De Rossi’s AS Roma traveled to Sardinia, on the pitch of the Unipol Domus stadium to challenge Cagliari. For this match, the Italian coach was counting on his big recruits Enzo Le Fée, Matias Soulé and Artem Dovbyk to make the difference. After a dull period, the Giallorossi failed to be realistic and effective in front of goal. Same story for Cagliari. However, both teams had chances but the score never changed (0-0).

At the same time, it was Lazio’s great rivals, now coached by Marco Baroni after the departure of Igor Tudor, who faced the promoted Venezia at home, back in the Italian elite. And besides, it was the Arancioneroverdi who opened the scoring in the wake of Magnus Kofod Andersen (3rd). But the Biancocelesti quickly got their heads back on track with the equalizer signed by Valentín Castellanos (11th) then the penalty converted by Mattia Zaccagni (44th). And the unfortunate Giorgio Altare was the victim of an own goal at the end of the match, completing the victory for Lazio (3-1).
