Under the orders of Will Still, Lens went to win in Angers this Sunday for the first act of L1 (0-1).

Franck Haise left for Nice – and beaten in Auxerre this Sunday (2-1) – RC Lens had to rebuild itself this summer by welcoming former Rémois Will Still to its bench. For the official debut of this last coach, the Blood and Gold were able to take the three points, on the ground of the promoted Angevin (0-1).

It was a goal from Wesley Saïd that allowed the Artésiens to make the difference before the half-hour mark (1-0, 28e). A successful start to hook the right wagon already made up of OM, PSG, Losc, Auxerre and Monaco.

Montpellier and Strasbourg, for their part, were unable to separate at the same time, penalized with a 1-1 draw after the Alsatian opening the score ensured by Habib Diarra (58e) and the Hérault equalizer from Téjo Savanier on penalty (67e). Toulouse and Nantes also shared the points at the Stadium (0-0).
