The German giants are ready to abandon the trail leading to Harry Kane in favor of another striker.
Bayern Munich have a new striker in their sights. According to rumors circulating in the German press, Thomas Tuchel would seek to attract Julian Alvarez to his workforce.
Kane won’t come to Munich until 2024
Manchester City’s Argentina international is being considered by Bayern as an alternative to Tottenham star Harry Kane. According to Sky Germany, the latest talks between Bayern and Spurs have been positive, but it’s possible the Londoners won’t let Kane (29) go this summer. Their financial demands turn out to be too great.
Alvarez (23) made 49 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 17 goals and providing 5 assists.
The idea that the German cador has is to get the Argentinian striker on loan for a year. Then on 1er next January, return to the charge for Harry Kane and try to negotiate a pre-contract with the player. If he does not extend his contract in north London by then, the Three Lions captain would be free to sign with the team of his choice. It is unlikely, however, that Tottenham will let this assumption take shape.
As a reminder, Bayern also eyed Naples striker Victor Osimhen. But, and like Kane, the Nigerian has too high a cost for the finances of the Bavarians. The latter do not usually spend more than €100 million on a single item.
