Back after a fairly average loan spell at Brighton (2 goals in 19 Premier League games), the former La Masia prodigy impressed during his first summer training sessions under Hansi Flick. The management has decided: Ansu Fati will have to leave. The decision was made in the last few hours. It is a decision that can be explained by his repeated physical problems, but also for financial reasons. He is indeed one of the highest earners in the squad following his extension in 2021, and Barça must trim down significantly.

The club also considers that there are already enough attacking players in the team, and Deco has already made it clear to Jorge Mendes that he will have to find a club for his protégé by the end of August.
