Big blow for Paris Saint-Germain: Joshua Kimmich might not leave Bayern Munich this summer.

The Ligue 1 champions have long been in the running to sign Bayern Munich’s German international Joshua Kimmich. While PSG are close to signing Benfica midfielder Joao Neves, they are still looking for an experienced player in the centre of the pitch.

According to Le Parisien, Kimmich is indeed determined to stay at Bayern until his contract expires next summer. The Bavarian club would consider selling their star player if he does not agree to sign a new contract, because they do not want him to leave for free next year. It is now up to the player to decide his future.

Kimmich has made his decision

Bayern have reinforced Kimmich’s positions (defensive midfielder and right-back) with Joao Palhinha (Fulham) and Josip Stanisic, back from a loan at Bayer Leverkusen.

After a disappointing draw against German fourth-tier side Duren, Vincent Kompany’s side will travel to London to face Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
