A real sensation on the Wolverhampton side since the return of the English club to the Premier League in 2018, Adama Traoré (27) has had some highlights with Wolves. Playing 194 games with Wolverhampton for 14 goals and 20 offerings, the native of Hospitalet had demonstrated impressive qualities of speed and percussion. He then confirmed his potential already felt at FC Barcelona where he played until 2015. Playing in particular the Europa League with the Wolves and discovering the Spanish selection at the same time (8 caps), Adama Traoré also had the opportunity to play in the Euro 2020 (13 minutes against Slovakia).

Passed on the side of FC Barcelona from January 2022 until the end of the season, the right-hander then had a rather brilliant period in his career. However, it has become more complicated this season. Not kept by FC Barcelona despite interesting appearances (17 appearances, 4 offerings), Adama Traoré had trouble digesting this. Last season, his balance sheet was only 3 goals and 2 offerings in 40 matches. Moreover, his start to the year was marked by a difficult digestion of his time at FC Barcelona. In addition, his contractual situation has been talked about, he who has now been free for more than two weeks.

A blurry future

In an interview for Sky Sports last January, he also returned to this rather particular situation: “Players take pressure differently, for me that’s part of my job. I like being a football player and I work hard to be on the pitch and enjoy the game. The contract, it will depend on the club. The club must talk to me and we will see what happens…” Having returned to a better level since – even if he had to settle for joker status with the English club – Adama Traoré is therefore now ready to embark on a new challenge.

In the sights of the Saudi formation of Al Ittihad as we revealed to you, the player also has the odds on the side of Serie A. Indeed, the Spanish winger was also targeted by AC Milan (even if it cooled off with the arrival of Christian Pulisic) just like Napoli who will need a player to replace a Hirving Lozano announced rather as a starter. It is in any case the latest trend resulting from La Repubblica. However, no track seems to emerge for Adama Traoré. Going from a fashionable player to an extra element, Adama Traoré now seems a long way from his 2019/2020 season (54 matches, 6 goals and 12 offerings) where he had many top names at his feet…
