With the arrival of Thiago Motta on the bench, Juventus is pulling out all the stops to get back into shape, with the arrivals of Douglas Luiz, Khéphren Thuram, Juan Cabal, Michele Di Gregorio and others. A very nice transfer window that is far from over: “We would like to consolidate the team with three new shots on the market, and therefore another player in each position” Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli was very clear a few days ago when, on the sidelines of the presentation of the new coach Thiago Motta to the press, he indicated the upcoming transfers of the Piedmontese club: a central defender, a midfielder and a striker to satisfy the needs.

These are Juventus’ three priorities, which, however, require at least three major transfers, if not more, in the direction of departures to finance these future expenses. Thus, at this press conference, the key phrase to remember was the following: “No one is excluded from the team, but the market is still open and we will reflect on individuals at the end“. And this last week of July could mark a turning point in the summer transfer window of the Old Lady. Indeed, the management is still working on several files in the arrivals. But to lock everything, Juventus must urgently sell players to replenish the coffers.

Juve wants a total of 80 million euros!

Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has flown to Germany with the rest of the squad for the summer tour at the adidas headquarters that will end on Friday 26 July with the friendly against Nuremberg. Many Bianconeri are present, although others have remained in Turin to work individually or are still on holiday. In both groups, however, there are players who could represent a significant cash-in opportunity and over the next six days Giuntoli’s goal will be to try to close sales for a total of €80 million in cash. This is the figure that would allow, immediately afterwards, to take the decisive step for at least two of the three planned purchases, notably Teun Koopmeiners and Jean-Clair Todibo. And several players are already in the sights of the Turin management to help secure these arrivals. Three major files are currently being negotiated.

That of Matias Soulé, the young Argentinian striker highly regarded by Thiago Motta, who could nevertheless be sacrificed in the event of a good offer of around 35 million. There are suitors who have positioned themselves including AS Roma. The departure of Federico Chiesa, valued at around 25 million, is still on standby with also the Giallorossi on the file and Antonio Conte’s Napoli. And the other big name is that of Dean Huijsen who has many requests, he no longer considers himself a raw talent and wants to find a team that will ensure him continuity. He is the hottest topic given that he has not even been called by Thiago Motta and that he has requests from Paris Saint-Germain, Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart. Beyond these big deals, Juventus have other small situations to deal with like the bellies of Arthur, Arkadiusz Milik, Wojciech Szczęsny and Filip Kostić. Not to mention Weston McKennie.
