Mattia Viti leaves Nice to return to his training club. As was expected for a few hours, Empoli has reached an agreement with Gym for a loan, with a purchase option of 6 million euros. The Italian central defender had been recruited for 15 million euros by Nice, in 2022, without ever managing to impose himself (12 matches played, 1 goal).
At 22, Viti will therefore try to relaunch his career in the club where he made his debut, after a spell last season on loan at Sassuolo. “Mattia Viti (22 years old) is once again on loan in Serie A (with an option to buy). The Italian defender will return to his training club, Empoli, with whom he discovered the professional world, notably playing 20 Serie A matches, before joining OGC Nice in the summer of 2022. The entire red and black club wishes him a very good season.”confirms the GYM.
