Returning from a failed loan spell at AS Roma last season, Renato Sanches (26) has been informed by Luis Enrique that he is not part of Paris Saint-Germain’s plans for the 2024/2025 season. Under contract until 2027, the Portuguese midfielder is close to returning to Lisbon to relaunch his career. In parallel with the transfer of João Neves to PSG, Benfica are discussing the arrival on loan of Sanches (26).

According to the president of the Lisbon club, Rui Costa, negotiations are continuing. “These are ongoing negotiations and therefore we should not talk about them publicly, that is not what helps. Many names have been mentioned, other names have also been mentioned… (…) There is a month and a half left before the market closes and therefore, as you know, the market has been very quiet until now. The market will more or less start to move now, we remain attentive and we will certainly choose the best group for Benfica”he assured in an interview with A Bola.
