It’s the end of one chapter and the beginning of another… Margot Dumont, who joined beIN Sports in 2012, announced her departure from the Qatari group this Wednesday, via a message posted on her X account (formerly Twitter). The 34-year-old journalist will join the sports department of Canal+.
“After 12 years at beIN Sports, the time has come for me to leave this beautiful house. Today, I have the joy of announcing that I am joining Canal+ in September. Looking forward to seeing you again.”she wrote.
A reinforcement for the European Cups
According to the daily newspaper information The TeamMargot Dumont will mainly cover European evenings on the encrypted channel, which will broadcast all Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League matches from next season until 2027.
The now ex-beIN Sports journalist will be speaking in the studio and on the sidelines. She will also make appearances on the set at Canal Football Club on Sunday evenings. Having worked for RMC Sport, L’Équipe and Infosport+, Margot Dumont also worked with Sky Germany from 2018 to 2021 for the Champions League evenings, she who has the advantage of speaking several languages (French, German, English, Italian and Spanish).
