The future of Xavi Simons is taking shape far from Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite a successful season on loan with RB Leipzig, Xavi Simons should ultimately not wear the colors of Paris Saint-Germain next season. Under contract with the capital club until June 2027, the young Dutch attacking midfielder will, according to Foot Mercato and Fabrizio Romano, be the subject of a new loan.

A return to Paris this summer had however been mentioned among the possible options. However, some club leaders have expressed doubts about the profile of Xavi Simons and his potential integration into the Parisian squad.

No sales this summer

The sale of the player trained at Masia has only been ruled out, in particular because of the compensation that the Parisian leaders would have to pay to PSV Eindhoven in the event of the Batavian’s transfer this summer. Faced with this situation, a new loan therefore appears to be the most possible solution for the future of Xavi Simons.

According to the latest information, the young talent from Amsterdam appears on the books of several renowned European clubs, including Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona and of course RB Leipzig.
