Targeted by Paris Saint-Germain, Joshua Kimmich is also in the sights of FC Barcelona. And the arrival of Hansi Flick in Catalonia could change that.

Joshua Kimmich will be one of the attractions of the next summer market. One year from the end of his contract, the German international could reconsider his future at Bayern Munich. And if Paris Saint-Germain is in the running to get it back, FC Barcelona will also try their luck.

The Blaugrana have already started working on the transfer window with the man who will be their next coach, Hansi Flick. The recruitment of a defensive midfielder is one of the priorities of the summer, and Guido Rodriguez (Betis) was particularly targeted. But Barça would rather like a player of a higher caliber, like Kimmich, and the arrival of Flick in Catalonia could change the situation. The two men know each other well, and they won the Champions League together in 2020 with Bayern.

Kimmich wants to play in the middle

Barca hope to pay less than 40 million euros for Kimmich, hoping that Bayern will not be too greedy for a player who will be free in a year. But the German international has not yet decided on his future. His priority would be to stay in Bavaria, but everything will depend on the next coach who arrives in Munich. Kimmich is reportedly tired of playing right-back, and he wants to be guaranteed a place in midfield next season.
