Between Mohamed Elneny and Arsenal, it’s over. After 8 years of good and loyal service, the Egyptian midfielder will leave the London club, still in the race to win the Premier League title, at the end of the season. Finally out of contract in June, the 31-year-old will not be retained and is asked to look for a new club after 159 appearances with the Gunners. Arriving in 2016 from FC Basel, the native of Mahallah won the Community Shield twice (2-1, 2020) as well as the FA Cup during the 2016-2017 season.

“Gunners. I am here today to send you a message, say goodbye and thank you for everything you have done for me. Your love, support and kindness. I will miss you so much and you will be in my heart forever. I want to tell you how much I love you and how much you mean to me and I will never forget the way you supported me. I will see you on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium to say goodbye, face to face. See you soon, Gunners”expressed the Egyptian in a video published on his X account.
