After the announcement of his departure from PSG at the end of the season, Hugo Ekitike thanked Eintracht Frankfurt for their trust with a nice goal against Bayern Munich.

It’s definitely a special week for Hugo Ekitike. Friday, Paris Saint-Germain formalized its departure at the end of the season, with the purchase option exercised by Eintracht Frankfurt. On Saturday, the former Reims player responded on the pitch by scoring a nice goal against Bayern Munich.

Served at the entrance to the area by Willian Pacho, Ekitike turned around well, slipped between two defenders before unleashing a nice shot from the right which deceived Manuel Neuer (23rd). This goal allowed Frankfurt to equalize, but it was Bayern who still won (2-1) thanks to a double from Harry Kane (9th, 61st sp).

Frankfurt should play Europe next year

This goal from Ekitike still justifies the confidence placed in him by his new club. Loaned at the end of January by PSG, the French international hopefuls took time to open his account in the Bundesliga, since he had to wait until April 19. But Eintracht still appreciated his dedication on the pitch and his investment in training.

Now that his future is sealed with Frankfurt, Ekitike can look forward to next season. Despite its defeat, Eintracht did not give up ground on Fribourg, Augsburg and Hoffenheim, who all lost this weekend, and the former club of Randal Kolo Muani thus consolidates its 6th place, which will qualify for the Europa League or the Europa Conference League.
