New offensive nugget from FC Barcelona, Lamine Yamal was in the sights of PSG. But according to Spanish media, the door has been closed by the Catalan club.
After Ansu Fati, Gavi and Pedri, FC Barcelona saw the emergence of a new prodigy this season. A pure product of Massia, Lamine Yamal earned his place in the first team when he was only sixteen years old. Impactful, with an old-fashioned player profile that enchants, the young Spaniard seems to have a bright future, as long as his club and the Spanish football federation take better care of him than they did with Pedri, for example. In the meantime, Lamine Yamal has caught the eye of recruiters, including those from PSG. But Barcelona blocked any idea of departure.
According to information from Sport, FC Barcelona indicated that Lamine Yamal was purely and simply untransferable. Author of six goals and eight assists in forty-four matches this season, all competitions combined, the right winger should therefore not move this summer. Under contract until June 2026, Yamal is protected by a release clause of one billion euros. An amount of clause that Barça places on its best players, particularly since the trauma following the departure of Neymar for PSG in 2017, after the Parisian club paid the 222 million euros of the Brazilian’s clause at the time .
Enrique likes young people
In recent days, it is precisely Paris Saint-Germain that has once again been the subject of discussion in the Iberian media. According to them, negotiations around Lamine Yamal were envisaged. But all this would already be ancient history since it is now an extension agreement until 2030 which is being discussed between the player and Barcelona. While perhaps waiting for a new turnaround in the situation since this famous agreement should only be signed when Yamal comes of age.
