Hanging in their last two outings in Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain will try to return to success, this time in the Champions League, on the pitch of Real Sociedad as part of their round of 16 second leg. Winner in the first leg, Luis Enrique’s gang will try to capitalize on their performance at the Parc des Princes to advance to the next round against a weakened Basque team that has been in great difficulty in the league in recent weeks.

This Sunday, UEFA made public the name of the referee who will officiate this Tuesday on the occasion of this European meeting between Basques and Parisians: Michael Oliver. A name that inevitably speaks on the European scene, the 38-year-old has around thirty C1 matches to his credit as well as a European Super Cup. During his career, the Englishman has refereed Paris Saint-Germain twice, both times in the previous year. As such, the Parisian record leaves something to be desired: a match against Benfica (1-1) and a defeat against Bayern Munich (0-1).
