Looking for a replacement for coach Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool are reportedly closely following a lead in France.
With the departure of Jürgen Klopp at the end of the season, Liverpool are now forced to find a new coach for next season.
While Xabi Alonso, manager of Bayer Leverkusen, is the favorite, the Mersey club would follow other avenues, based on data analysis, if we are to believe The Athletic.
A Frenchman in the shortlist
The Reds are looking for a coach with a strong personality who can adapt to the current team, whilst offering an attractive style of play.
Ruben Amorin (Sporting CP) and Julian Nagelsmann (German selection) are recommended by LFC data analyses. Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton), Eddie Howe (Newcastle) and Franck Haise (RC Lens) are also considered potential candidates.
Haise’s profile is examined, but being under contract with Lens until June 2027, and given the strong competition, his recruitment promises to be complicated.
