Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has found a club!

Four years after his last match with OL, Mapou Yanga Mbiwa has returned to action.

At 34, Mapou Yanga Mbiwa is not done with football. While he had not appeared on the field for no less than four years and a last match with the Olympique Lyonnais reserve, the former French international signed with FC Istres, which plays in National 3.

“The project is interesting and I wanted to get back to the land. I will bring my experience and pass it on to young people”he whispered to Maritima in the wake of his first match with his new team, which won 2-0 at Lucciana in Corsica.

“After Lyon (2015-2020), I rested and enjoyed my family and friends”he clarified.
