Lacking playing time at PSG, Nordi Mukiele could have joined Bayern Munich during the winter transfer window.
Since the start of the season, Nordi Mukiele has hardly been used by Luis Enrique. With the participation of Achraf Hakimi in the African Cup of Nations, the former Leipzig player could have played more but the Spanish technician decided otherwise.
During the month of January, a departure of the native of Montreuil in Germany was regularly mentioned. “Bayern Munich wanted Mukiele, as I said this winter. But PSG was not willing to accept a loan with an option to buy. The leaders asked for a different obligation or conditions, which explains why the agreement was not reached”revealed Fabrizio Romano, transfer market specialist, cited by CaughtOffisde.
No discussions with Chelsea
Some rumors have also reported an interest from Chelsea in the French international. “I was asked how concrete the links with Nordi Mukiele were towards the end of January, but I can say there were no discussions with Chelsea”assured the Italian journalist.
At right-back, while Mukiele seemed to be the natural replacement for Hakimi, Luis Enrique preferred to use Carlos Soler or even Warren Zaire-Emery. In other words, as long as the ex-Barça coach is on the PSG bench, he will not be able to claim significant playing time.
