After two mixed years at PSG, Sergio Ramos is still hungry and wants to continue his career at the top level. While a return to Sevilla FC has been mentioned, the doors close abruptly for the Spaniard.
Between repeated injuries, poor form and cause for hope, Sergio Ramos will have had a funny adventure at Paris Saint-Germain. Legendary central defender of Real Madrid and the Spanish selection, the world champion spent two special seasons in Paris. If the last was more conclusive, the capital club preferred not to extend the 37-year-old player. Sergio Ramos is now free on the transfer window, and looking for a new challenge. The Spanish press notably mentioned the possibility of a return to Sevilla FC, his training club. An attractive return on paper and interesting for the player who would thus compete in the Champions League. However, the option was quickly ruled out by Jose Maria del Nido Carrasco.

During the La Liga gala dinner, and in remarks reported by the Marca newspaper, the vice-president of Sevilla FC closed the door to a return of Sergio Ramos. “Sergio Ramos is not an option for Sevilla at the moment. He is a magnificent player, from our training system. However, there is nothing between him and Sevilla.” said the leader of the Andalusian club. The defender will therefore have to find another club. More exotic destinations are available to him such as Saudi Arabia where his former teammates Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo are playing or even MLS with Inter Miami which has just welcomed one of its biggest rivals and colleague during two years at PSG, Lionel Messi. Despite his age, the Spanish rock still has the desire to evolve at the highest level and does not intend to hang up his crampons right away.
