A surprising return to OM?

In search of a second left-back after the arrival of Ulisses Garcia, OM are reportedly considering one of their former players.

If the Adrien Truffert (Rennes) and Quentin Merlin (Nantes) tracks remain a priority in the minds of Marseille leaders, they are far from simple to realize – financially speaking that is. Also Pablo Longoria is broadening his prospecting field with less than two weeks now before the transfer window closes.

According to L’Equipe, which relays a rumor born in Italy, OM are once again interested in Nuno Tavares – a defender of the corridor or piston who last season was able to satisfy the Olympians of Igor Tudor – author of six goals in particular – before declining significantly in performance and consistency.

Still owned by Arsenal until 2025, the 23-year-old Portuguese has been on loan to Nottingham Forest for six months. But the person concerned plays little in his new club, credited with only five appearances. With OM’s relations with the Gunners in good shape, a new deal for Nuno Tavares with promises of playing time certainly cannot be ruled out.
