At a press conference this Friday, the Chelsea coach gave some less than reassuring news regarding Christopher Nkunku.

The struggle continues for Christopher Nkunku. Arrive at Chelsea this summer for 60 million euros after a brilliant stint at RB Leipzig, the former Parisian had knee surgery just before the start of the season. At the end of December, he was able to show some of his qualities by making his return to competition by scoring his first goal in his new colors. But after just four matches, he had to be sidelined again due to a hip injury.

Nkunku does not reassure

This Friday at a press conference, Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that he could not count on the French international (10 caps) for the reception of Fulham on Saturday in the championship, and did not hide his concern about him. “Of course I’m worried, even today, because he hasn’t been able to train for ten days. We are evaluating it, we don’t know what will happen.”confided the Argentinian technician.

Despite this, he was able to rejoice in the return from injury of several players in his squad. “I am a little worried about the Christopher Nkunku situation but on the other hand, we are getting back players like Chalobah, Chilwell, Badiashile and Chukwuemeka who are very close to being able to play again to help the team perform”he added.
