Bayern Munich is targeting French right-back Jonathan Clauss to strengthen its right lane.
Jonathan Clauss could well try his hand at a foreign championship. Indeed, Bayern is looking for a replacement to compensate for the absences of right side Bouna Sarr, currently injured and on the move, and of Noussair Mazraoui, often hampered by injuries, and leaving for the CAN.
According to Téléfoot, the German champion is carefully following Jonathan Clauss, the right back of Olympique de Marseille. The Bavarian leaders appreciate the profile of the 31-year-old player, regularly called up for the France team since 2022. Consequently, the Bundesliga club considers him as the ideal partner of Kingsley Coman on the right flank.
However, completing this transaction seems difficult for the Rekordmeister. OM does not intend to let the Strasbourg player leave during the winter transfer window, especially since he has one year left on his contract. It seems more plausible that Bayern will return in six months at the end of the season, when the former RC Lens player will be free to speak with the club of his choice.
