After abandoning the track leading to the Stade de France, Paris Saint-Germain is now working on new projects, including that of a new den planned for 70,000 seats. RMC Sport even announced yesterday that Paris City Hall was ready to renew dialogue with Parisian management to discuss the possibility of a takeover of the Parc des Princes, the situation having changed in particular by the arrival of the American shareholder Arctos last month. But a deputy from the capital’s Town Hall had an opposing speech this Friday morning.

At the morning microphone of SudRadioDavid Belliard, deputy mayor of Paris in charge of the transformation of public space and mobility, does not wish to bequeath the Ile-de-France lair to the reigning French champion: “yes, it would pose a problem for me if Paris sold the Parc des Princes to Qatar, or in any case, the sale of the Parc des Princes. I will oppose any sale. (…) It is the responsibility of PSG to carry out the work. PSG, whose majority shareholder is Qatar, has sufficient means to invest in this legendary park that is the Parc des Princes.”
