After the PL2, the Championship and La Liga, Ben Brereton finally has the opportunity to discover the Premier League. Very little used as a starter for Villarreal (20 TCC matches including 14 appearances, 0 goals), which he joined for free last summer from Blackburn, the Chilean international striker (27 caps, 7 goals) will play in the elite across the Channel under the jersey of Sheffield United, who welcome him on loan for the next six months. The native of Stoke will have the difficult task of getting the Blades, the red lanterns of the PL, out of the relegation zone.

“As soon as I knew there was interest, I spoke to a few people and we quickly closed the deal. I wasn’t really playing there (in Spain) and I was told I could go on loan. So it’s great to be in England, at such a big club and a club that I know well having played there. I am excited to begin. (…) Playing in the Premier League is something you dream of when you’re young, so it’s great for me and I can’t wait to get started.”the 24-year-old told the club’s official media.
