After Azeddine Ounahi and Amine Harit, a third Moroccan is likely to land at Olympique de Marseille.
Olympique de Marseille loves Moroccans! The proof is that he currently has two in his squad and could even afford a third. A 19-year-old central midfielder could perhaps arrive at the Vélodrome soon.
A costly track for OM
The target is called Bilal El Khannouss and he plays in Belgium near Genk. This is what the media “Le Foot” reveals. Also capable of evolving in a more advanced role on the field, this young element has a market value estimated at 20 million euros. His current contract runs until 2027.
For Khannouss, however, there is a constraint and it is the same as for Harit and Ounahi. If he joins Marseille, he will only be available to Gennaro Gattuso next February because he has been selected to play in the CAN in Ivory Coast.
Recruiting from the middle, however, is not OM’s priority at the moment. Above all, the club wants to offer itself a full-back and a “false foot” winger. For these two positions, the main players targeted are Jesse Lingard (free) and Yvann Maçon (Maccabi Tel Aviv).
