Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has asked his players to be careful on social media after Jack Grealish’s house was broken into.

Grealish was playing for City against Sheffield United when his house was broken into by thieves worth £1 million worth of loot. Ten members of the midfielder’s family, including his fiancée Sasha Attwood, were inside at the time of the burglary.

The City coach deplored this situation to the English media at a press conference: “Today you have to be careful, that’s for sure. There’s not much on social media, the less they know about what you do the better. People are waiting. People are waiting to see where you stand. Unfortunately, this is what happened with Joao. It was very scary because the family was attacked. Jewelry, money, whatever you want – it’s hard – but the presence of family is difficult for Jack to accept, as it was for Joao before. »

“There is a big difference between the classes. There are people who have a lot of money and others who are struggling. If you have a good middle class, people don’t act like that. Today, all over the world, this is happening. People have been doing this sort of thing unfortunately for many years now. »

“First of all, what happened with the family inside, that’s what’s happening today with a lot of things happening. It was a bad time for him and his family, but fortunately the family was not harmed by the people inside. »
