The disastrous season continues for Sevilla FC in the league. The Andalusian club lost on Saturday evening on the pitch in Mallorca (1-0, 16th day) and is once again flirting with the red zone.

Ninth match in a row without success for Sevilla FC in La Liga. The catastrophic series continued on Saturday evening on the side of Mallorca since Sergio Ramos’ partners were defeated by the smallest of gaps (1-0, 16th day). The only scorer of the match, Cyle Larin allowed the locals to win and pass in front of their victim of the day. In the ranking, the situation remains critical for the Sevillians.

Before kick-off, Mallorca had only one success since the start of the season in the league. Two points behind Sevilla FC, the locals therefore knew that this opposition could be very profitable for them if successful. This is perhaps why they worked to make the difference from the first minutes of the match. Thus, Cyle Larin found the fault in the eleventh minute of play (1-0), for what will be the one and only goal of the game.

Dominating is not winning

However, the domination was largely on the side of Sevilla FC, with 67% possession and three times as many shots on the clock (but only two more than their opponent in terms of attempts on target). In the end, the Sevillians are the big losers, who are only four points ahead of Celta Vigo, currently seventeenth and first resident of the red zone. As for Mallorca, which has one more match than its opponent of the day, it is fifteenth.
