FC Barcelona is considering recruiting a free goalkeeper to replace Marc-André ter Stegen.
Barca want experienced goalkeeper
Ter Stegen faces being out for three to four months after opting to have back surgery this week. Inaki Pena is therefore the only goalkeeper that Barça has at its disposal. Which forces the Catalan club to have to strengthen itself in this sector.
According to the media Ok Diario, Barça is studying the “free agent” market, and former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea tops their list. Released by Manchester United at the end of last season, the Spaniard has not played again since. But it still remains popular. The Newcastle Magpies also have him in their sights.
Sergio Asenjo is also considered by FC Barcelona. The latter terminated his contract with Real Valladolid before the end of the summer transfer window and is therefore free to sign with the team of his choice.
