While the winter transfer window will officially begin at the end of the month, the club has already completed the arrival of reinforcement in defense, according to Jérôme Rothen.

Just four months after a particularly hectic summer transfer window, marked by around ten arrivals including those of Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, Lucas Hernandez, Gonçalo Ramos and Manuel Ugarte, PSG should be very active again. And this time the emphasis should be given to the defensive sector.

Faced with injuries to Warren Zaire-Emery and Fabian Ruiz, the French champions would have set out in search of an experienced and quickly operational recovery midfielder. But according to Jérôme Rothen, a first reinforcement should arrive in defense. According to RMC’s star consultant, the Parisian leaders have in fact already finalized the arrival of an experienced player, capable of playing on the left axis in the central hinge or in the left lane.

“There is a recruitment that will take place during the winter transfer window, it is for the position of left central defender, or even left side. They have already targeted the player. Everything is ok on that side. I would have liked to give you the name, but for the moment, it hasn’t leaked yet, he said on the microphone of his show, adding: “But what is certain is that compared to the injuries to Nuno Mendes and the slow recovery of Kimpembe, they will invest this winter in a left-sided central defender. It’s a certainty. They have the name, everything is targeted and finalized. Everyone is in agreement. It won’t be a young player, it will be a player with experience. »
