Thanks to a goal from Joao Félix, on loan from Atlético this season, FC Barcelona won against the Colchoneros (1-0) on Sunday in La Liga. The Blaugranas remain in contact with the two leaders, Real Madrid and Girona, a week before facing the surprise team.

After a single point taken against Rayo Vallecano (1-1), FC Barcelona this time beat another Madrid opponent, in this case Atlético, during the clash of the 15th day of La Liga (1-0 ). The reigning champions did well to win at home against the Colchoneros, to stay four lengths behind the two leaders, Real and Girona, one week from challenging their Catalan neighbor!

As a symbol, it was Joao Félix who scored the only goal of the game (28th), with a superb ball dived in front of Jan Oblak. Sidelined during preparation at Atlético and finally loaned this season to FCB, the Portuguese prodigy did not miss the opportunity to celebrate his goal. Raphinha was at the origin of the action by bringing the ball up. Robert Lewandowski and his teammates were subsequently unable to be realistic about taking cover.

Diego Simeone’s men ended up pushing throughout the second half, under the leadership of Antoine Griezmann, but Memphis Depay or Angel Correa failed to beat a solid Iñaki Peña in the absence of Marc-André ter Stegen . Atlético is 4th in the standings with three points less than its opponent of the day, and above all 7 lengths from the two leading teams.
