As part of the 15th day of La Liga, Bilbao hosted Rayo Vallecano at San Mamés. Fifth at kick-off, the locals did not tremble to get rid of their opponent of the day. Perfectly launched after Gorka Guruzeta’s opening score (1-0, 23rd), Bilbao then unfolded after returning from the locker room. If the unfortunate Alfonso Espino scored an own goal (2-0, 47th), the score got even worse a few moments later.

With this big victory (4-0), the Rojiblancos have a fifth match in a row without defeat in the league. In the standings, Bilbao remains in fifth place but is three points behind FC Barcelona. For its part, Rayo fell to 11th place.
