Real Madrid are in total panic

It’s go again ! Yesterday, the Spanish media A.S. published a new article on Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland, who are both still in the sights of Real Madrid. Nothing really new then. But the Iberian publication confirmed once again that the Norwegian had passed the Frenchman in the eyes of the Merengue management. But unlike KM7, who will be free next June, the Manchester City star will still be under contract and therefore expensive, despite his departure clause of almost 200 million euros. But currently, it is not the two attackers who are driving Real Madrid crazy.

Indeed, the residents of the Santiago-Bernabéu stadium have a much more important problem to resolve. This is the coach’s file. Since last season, the Ancelotti case has agitated the Iberian team behind the scenes. It has long been announced about the departure. The Spanish media even cited his potential replacements since they spoke of José Mourinho, Zinedine Zidane, Raul and even Xabi Alonso. At the same time, the Mister was sent to Brazil. Moreover, the CBF (Brazilian federation) even made an announcement about it on July 5.

Ancelotti maintains the vagueness

“Diniz has a similar style of play to the coach who will take charge from the Copa América, Carlo Ancelotti. They have almost the same style of play”, launched Ednaldo Rodriguez, boss of the Brazilian Football Confederation. The former PSG coach was therefore expected after the summer of 2024, once his contract in the Spanish capital ended. But quickly, the Cadena SER explained that Ancelotti had an agreement with the CBF but had not signed anything. Indeed, his plan was to join Brazil if and only if Real Madrid did not offer him an extension. Which is obviously the idea running through the Merengues’ heads.

Relevo specifies this Friday that they want to see him extend his lease. But everything does not go as planned. For several weeks, Ancelotti has remained unclear about his future. Publicly, he systematically responds: “I only know that I know nothing.” In private, his behavior is somewhat the same. Especially since he has never ruled out retiring. Real Madrid is in total limbo according to the Iberian media. And this is starting to worry, even annoy, management. Florentino Pérez wants to be fixed, he who does not appreciate seeing his coach thinking of another challenge while his club is playing on all fronts. For the Madrid president, the club is above everything and everyone and must have the last word every time.

Real Madrid wants to regain control

Pérez, very attached to the image of his Real Madrid, will not accept having his laws dictated to him by Ancelotti. Especially since he believes that he is a good coach, who corresponds to Casa Blanca and who knows how to work with young talents. He believes that his departure would have a strong impact on the group, with which the Italian has established excellent relations. For all these reasons, the Madrilenians do not want to lose him. Their plan is to keep Ancelotti for a while longer and to hand over the keys to the team to Xabi Alonso within one or two years. Recruiting a coach to ensure the transition, like Tuchel or Klopp, is not in their plans.

For this reason, the extension of Carlo Ancelotti is a priority in their eyes. Despite everything, Madrid fears his departure. Within the club, some think he wants to end his coaching career in style. Leading a legendary selection like Brazil would be a hell of a challenge. Others believe that he already agrees with the CBF but that he is not announcing his choice so as not to be the one who put an end to the collaboration with Madrid. Basically, he doesn’t want to get the wrong role. If Ancelotti ends up announcing his departure, Real Madrid “will find themselves in an unexpected, unfamiliar and uncomfortable position” according to Relevo. What Florentino Pérez fears. The ball is in Ancelotti’s court at the moment. Which makes Madrilenians panic.
