Tuesday evening, FC Barcelona was scared but validated its ticket for the round of 16 of the Champions League by defeating FC Porto (2-1). At the Montjuïc stadium, Pedri participated in the Catalans’ victory against the Portuguese, almost a month after his return from injury. By playing the entire game, the Spanish international (18 caps) complied with the last of the performance clauses stipulated in his contract when he signed for Barça from Las Palmas.

With this in mind, the club based in the Canary Islands can already rub its hands. As reported Ace This Thursday, Pedri will generate new income for his former team for having played 45 minutes or more in 100 appearances for the Blaugrana jersey. Now, the total cost of the Spanish prodigy’s transfer is between 18 and 25 million euros thanks to several bonuses. There is no doubt, Las Palmas smelled a good deal for a player originally sold for 6 million euros and who managed to make his mark in Catalonia.
