Losc is getting out of a big quagmire

On a waterlogged pitch, Lille put on a good show to win in Ljubljana (0-2) in the Europa Conference League.

Forewarned Lille is worth two warnings. After the sad 0-0 conceded to the Faroe Islands against Klaksvik, and the 1-1 brought back from Bratislava, the Mastiffs had their best away match of the European season, winning this Thursday evening in Ljubljana (0 -2).

However, there was everything to fall into a new trap, with this ground completely waterlogged in places, which even threatened the holding of the meeting. But Losc managed to develop their football, and create some great opportunities (16 shots, 6 on target).

Paulo Fonseca’s men did the hardest part by opening the scoring with Rémy Cabella, scorer in two stages, in the mud, after a cross from the restless Zhegrova (0-1, 15th). Losc had several break points, but the Slovenian goalkeeper nicely repelled the attempts of Zhegrova (24th) or Yazici (69th), a goal of which was refused for offside at the start of the action (55th) . But the Turk was finally rewarded for his efforts (0-2, 75th).

With this success, Lille is assured of continuing its journey in the Europa Conference League, but first place, which would send the Northerners directly to the round of 16, without going through the play-offs, is not yet assured. We will have to beat Klaksvik on the last day to avoid having to count on a misstep from Bratislava in the other match.
