Barça does not understand Xavi

Unconvincing, to put it mildly. On Saturday, FC Barcelona was held to a draw against Rayo Vallecano (1-1). And the result could have been worse for the Catalans without Florian Lejeune’s own goal (82nd). A new poor performance during a busy period for Xavi’s men, who host Porto this Tuesday evening, 9 p.m., in the Champions League, before facing Atlético and Girona in La Liga.

But the meeting against Rayo seems to have left its mark. According to the show’s journalists Tot Costa, in Spain, Joan Laporta would not have appreciated at all the composition chosen by Xavi last Saturday. Deco either. The Catalan coach had, in return for the truce, decided to put a few executives on the bench, such as Araujo, Raphinha, Koundé, Gündogan and João Félix. A bold choice which clearly did not bear fruit. Laporta and Deco expected to see a team of starters at kick-off. Xavi must not miss against Porto, at the risk of really annoying the two high-ranking people in Barcelona management…
