Cristiano Ronaldo stood out for his fair play this Monday in the Asian Champions League.

Fair play takes on its full meaning when it is embodied by a football icon. This Monday as part of the Asian Champions League and a match between Al-Nassr and Persepolis, Cristiano Ronaldo did honor to his art by proving to be a particularly fine player.

At the start of the match, the Portuguese striker from the Saudi club collapsed in the opposing area, earning a penalty from the Chinese referee of the match – a penalty strongly contested by the Iranian team. CR7, getting up, immediately indicated to the official that he had not suffered a foul, and that there was therefore no penalty.

A gesture of great class on the part of the five-time Ballon d’Or, who ultimately did not find the fault in this part – nor did Al-Nassr, forced to a goalless draw and nevertheless assured of finishing first in his group, therefore qualified for the round of 16 of the competition. Cristiano Ronaldo has lost none of his efficiency, however, credited with 18 goals and 9 assists in 19 outings this season with the Saudi club.
