The atmosphere is becoming increasingly heavy at Manchester United. After the heavy defeat conceded at Old Trafford against Bournemouth (0-3), Red Devils supporters sent a clear message to their team. At the final whistle, Michael Carrick was applauded by part of the public, while his future on the Mancunian bench appears more and more uncertain.

But the support shown for the coach was not extended to his players. As soon as Carrick disappeared into the tunnel leading to the changing rooms, the applause gave way to whistles aimed at the Mancunians. A striking contrast which illustrates the growing anger of supporters, while Manchester United are in a worrying 16th place in the Premier League, before an already crucial meeting against Chelsea.
