Sunday was again marked by serious incidents during a Ligue 1 match.
It’s a bad habit whose recurrence becomes frightening. A few weeks after the horrible events that occurred during the Marseille-Lyon match around the Stade Vélodrome, another Ligue 1 match was marred by acts of violence.
This Sunday, Montpellier hosted Brest in an ordinary match between two mid-table teams. A match won by Stade Brestois (3-1). Until then, the Bretons had had a great day but they must have been shocked when they learned what had happened to their supporters who came to La Mosson.
The bus which made this trip to Hérault was in fact stoned. Cobblestones thrown at the vehicle’s windows caused the glass to shatter, according to details relayed by L’Équipe. Although the incident did not cause serious injuries, a supporter present in the bus would still have been slightly injured.
