Claudio Echeverri, who is shining brightly at the Under-17 World Cup, has named the European club where he wants to play in the future.

The 17-year-old River Plate midfielder recently hit the headlines after his hat-trick helped Argentina beat arch-rivals Brazil 3-0 and knock them out of the Under-20 World Cup. of 17 years which is currently taking place in Indonesia. His recent performances with his country have challenged several leading European clubs according to what the daily SPORT reveals.
The most notable names among interested clubs are Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Manchester City, but FC Barcelona may well have an advantage in the transfer race. And for good reason ; the player himself dreams of representing the Catalan giants.
Speaking to reporters just before the World Cup, the youngster said: “Besides River, I would like to play for Barca. I’m a big fan of Messi and I used to watch him play for Barcelona, so I’ve had this team in me since I was very young.”
While the player himself has expressed his desire to play for the Catalan club, Barcelona are yet to express their willingness to sign the Argentine. Things could change if the Argentinian manages to go all the way with his country and win the global trophy.
