The verdict is final, damning for OM. According to the latest study from the International Center for the Study of Sports (CIES), the Marseille club has totally ineffective training. Proof of this is the number of players from his training center who this season had the opportunity to play with the first team in Ligue 1.
It’s very simple, on this level the entity chaired by Pablo Longoria receives zero points. No player trained at OM has played a single minute in the sky since the opening of the championship. Only Bilbao does better than Lyon
Marseille did call on some young talents such as François-Régis Mughe, Emran Soglo or Bilal Nadir, but the latter were trained in Cameroon, Chelsea and Nice respectively. The benchmark for training observed in Ligue 1 remains Lyon, with no less than nine Gones appearing in the league this season with OL, for 45.6% of playing time. Across the five major European leagues, only Athletic Bilbao does better with 14 young people compiling 68.9% of playing time.
