Three months after his arrival in Brazil, Dimitri Payet, 36, seems particularly physically sharp, as shown in a photo published by the CR Vasco da Gama networks.

Too often mocked for his overweight during his last years at OM, Dimitri Payet is perhaps experiencing a new youth in Brazil, at 36 years old. The new number 10 of CR Vasco da Gama is in great physical shape, as shown by a photo of the ex-French international in training, under the sun of Rio de Janeiro (where it is between 24°C and 32°C).

The photo of this well-honed Payet surprised more than one in France, but the Twitter account “OM – Brasil” revealed that the Reunionese, determined to regain optimal physical condition, was followed by nutritionists and had lost 4 kilos these last weeks !

Since his arrival last August, the finalist of Euro 2016 and the 2018 Europa League (he still has no high-level trophy to his name) has scored two goals and given an assist in the Brasileiro. With a superb free kick, Payet gave Vasco victory against America MG (2-1), last Sunday, to allow his team to move up to 15th place, with two points more than the first relegation after 34 days (out of 38).
