Michele Kang, the future majority shareholder of OL women, made a remarkable gesture for the supporters against Dijon.
Michele Kang does what she can to be appreciated by OL supporters, particularly those of the women’s section. While the Rhone club is changing on all fronts since the departure of Jean-Michel Aulas, the Korean-American businesswoman has already managed to be popular than John Textor, his counterpart among the boys. After traveling to Prague to see Wendie Renard’s teammates humiliate Slava (0-9) in the Champions League, the woman who began her acquisition of the majority shares of OL women last May was present at Groupama Stadium Tuesday against Dijon, for the easy (4-1) victory against the Burgundians in Ligue 1 ArkĂ©mĂ©.
Kang didn’t just show off, as she also made an unusual announcement on the main screen of the DĂ©cines compound: “ A hot or cold drink offered to all supporters present, upon presentation of the match ticket.”
A popular initiative, which coach Sonia Bompastor particularly appreciated. “I think it’s great and classy. I think all the supporters present appreciated it. If it makes them want to come back to the next match with friends, it will cost Michele Kang dearly (laughs). It’s a new initiative that I found great,” greeted the former French international at OL Play.
If John Textor wants to win over the demanding Lyon supporters after this disastrous start to the season, paying for his tour at the next OL home match wouldn’t be such a bad idea…
