Rubiales, another sanction

Suspended three years by FIFA following his forced kiss on Jenni Hermoso just after the 2023 Women’s World Cup final, Luis Rubiales received the same sanction from the Administrative Court of Sport.

The cause is the same, the consequence too. Guilty of having kissed Jenni Hermoso on the mouth without her consent, during the medal ceremony following the 2023 Women’s World Cup final last August, Luis Rubiales was suspended for three years by the Administrative Court for Sports (CAS). Information reported Friday by A.S. and several Spanish media.

This sanction is in reality the same as that imposed by the International Football Federation (FIFA) on the former president of the Spanish Football Federation. However, this new strong decision adds an additional ban for Luis Rubiales. In addition to not being able to carry out any activity in football following his suspension decided by FIFA, Luis Rubiales can no longer hold a position in a Spanish body.

The accused appeals

Resigning from his post, three weeks after the start of the outcry caused by his different attitudes that famous evening of the final won by the Spanish selection, the former leader nevertheless appealed the FIFA sanction.
