Hit in the knee during training on Wednesday, Eduardo Camavinga is preparing to leave the French team gathering to return to Madrid and take new exams.

Real Madrid hold their breath. After Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, Aurélien Tchouameni and Jude Bellingham, a new Madrid player is preparing to join the infirmary. Victim of a shock with Ousmane Dembélé during the day’s training session on Wednesday, the former Rennais was indeed hit in the knee and the first examinations taken at Clairefontaine do not bode well.

If the young midfielder wanted to be reassuring when leaving the field, sending “it’s okay, it’s okay” to Didier Deschamps while limping low, his knee was affected and the Merengue must now return to Madrid to take new exams in order to to determine the exact nature of his injury. The blow is hard for the native of Angola who was expected to have significant playing time during the two matches against Gibraltar and Greece in the absence of Aurélien Tchouameni.

Eduardo Camavinga’s package changes the situation in midfield and the situation could benefit Warren Zaire-Emery, expected to take his first steps in the French team and become the youngest French international in over a century. Youssouf Fofana and Boubacar Kamara could also take the opportunity to gain playing time alongside Adrien Rabiot, the main man in the French midfield.
