After the sidelining of Nuno Espirito Santo, Al-Ittihad will entrust its destiny to Marcelo Gallardo.
Change at Al-Ittihad. After a disappointing start to the season, the Jeddah club parted ways last week with its new coach, Nuno Espirito Santo.
After discussing with Julen Lopetegui, the Saudi team finally set its sights on Marcelo Gallardo. The former Olympique de Marseille and AS Monaco playmaker is expected to sign until June 2025, with an option for two additional seasons.

This will be the first experience outside of South America for the Argentinian, who shone on the River Plate bench (2014-2022), notably winning the Copa Libertadores twice. He will now have Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kanté and Fabinho under his command.
