Liverpool management are reportedly trying to get their hands on an Algerian international defender.

Deprived of Andy Robertson due to a shoulder injury, Liverpool are currently looking to strengthen the left-back position. The Merseysiders are reportedly targeting an Algerian international who is already playing in the Premier League.

Klopp targeted Robertson replacement

The player in question is Rayan Ait Nouri, the member of Wolverhampton. This is what the media Le 10 Sport reveals, specifying that Jurgen Klopp is a great admirer of the former Angers man.

Liverpool hope to have Ait-Nouri next January. There is still little chance of this transfer being successful. The Wolves are not necessarily sellers.

Wolverhampton have obtained significant funds by selling players this summer and are not under pressure to downsize again in the next transfer window. Unless the Reds submit an astronomical offer, the deal will not happen.

Note that, and this is not a trivial detail, Ait-Nouri will have to miss a month of competition at the start of next year. In all likelihood, he will participate in the CAN with his Algerian national team.
