After the defeat at Le Mans against Paris Saint-Germain (3-1) on Saturday evening, Patrick Videira wanted to greet Luis Enrique. Despite the frustration linked to the result, the Le Mans coach paid tribute to his Parisian counterpart, whom he considers a reference for many educators. The Manceaux had however managed to come back to the score at the start of the second half, before giving in to the Parisian entrants. A meeting rich in lessons for Videira, particularly touched by the congratulations of the Spanish technician at the end of the match.

“We are frustrated, because I think we became disorganized after our goal. We had situations, but perhaps a little euphoria after the equalizer. It’s a shame. Paris has great technical quality, sets us up to do reversals and play two against one. We had worked, but I found that our technical quality was not good. We missed too many things. And then when it came time for the four changes… They were incredible. I asked Vitinha to take it slowly, but he didn’t listen to me (laughing). Enrique is a great man, who inspires many people and educators. We wish them the best in the Champions League on Wednesday. He is a great man, and his congratulations mean a lot to me. We learn a lot from this type of meeting. » Class.
