This start of the week was marked by a match that will go down in history.
While the great nations of world football will still take the stage during this international break in the four corners of the globe, Indonesia is currently the scene of the U17 World Cup. A tournament in which the Brazilian team is involved.
Presented as an eternal favorite given its exceptional pool, the Brazilian national team had a very mixed debut in the tournament – to say the least. The young Auriverde in fact missed their entry into the competition by losing against Iran, to everyone’s surprise (2-3). But their reaction was extremely spectacular.
81 shots, 14 saves…
Opposed to New Caledonia, Brazil signed a clear score of 9-0. And this result is not the most surprising figure since it does not really reflect the overwhelming domination of the Auriverde. In total, the Brazilians took 81 shots in this match, including 23 shots on target!
The Seleçao therefore totaled almost one shot per minute during this one-sided match, in which the New Caledonian goalkeeper made no less than 14 saves.
